The Past - What Happened In 2017?
The game made quite a jump this year. The initial goal (Codename RL2017Q2 - Rogue-Like in 2nd quarter 2017) was not reached and it will be more like 2018Q3. We added a simple form of the overarching enemy ai, weapons, enemies, tile based dynamic lights, ragdoll effects and much more. It's still playable on a smartphone and a new low end development device (DOOGEE X7 Pro) confirmed that you can play it on almost any phone nowadays.
We are back from PGA after showcasing "Rogue In The Void". Feedback was quite good and most critics were related to the controls which we tried to fix on the first day. The game is currently developed for multiple platforms and gamepad controls were integrated from the beginning of the project (with additional mouse/keyboard and touch controls). Unfortunately, first-time players did not have a good grasp on controlling the cursor (which was meant for touch devices), so we added an additional pointer.
We are showcasing Rogue In The Void at Poznań Game Arena 2017. Meet us in hall 50a at Booth 26! The game is still in a very early phase of development and we try hard to implement some missing features until we start travelling to poland.
